Your privacy, in plain words.

What this website collects, which cookies it uses, and your rights under UK data protection law.

Who we are

Northampton Dental Clinic is part of Dencorp Ltd, a company registered in England and Wales (company number 10836406), with its registered office at 4 Westbury Gardens, Luton LU2 7DW. Dencorp Ltd is the data controller for this website.

For any question about your data, email [email protected].

What this website collects

You can read this website without telling us who you are. It has no accounts and no passwords. We ask for your details only when you book an appointment, or when your dentist refers you to us, as described below.

Like every website, our server records technical details of each visit — such as your IP address, your browser and the pages you open — to keep the site secure and working. We keep these records for a limited time and do not use them to identify you.

Booking an appointment

When you book online we ask for your name, date of birth, email address and mobile number and, where our practice software needs them to open your record, your title, sex and address. We use them to make the appointment, to confirm it and remind you of it by email, text message or WhatsApp, and to recognise you if you have been to us before.

The appointment and your details are recorded in our practice software, where they become part of your patient record. From then on they are handled under our patient privacy notice, which reception can give you.

Where a deposit is taken, you pay it by card on a page run by Stripe: your card details go to Stripe and never reach this website. If you choose a time and do not pay its deposit, we may email or text you to say the time is still held, and again if it is released, and reception may call you.

If you tell us you are already our patient, we check the email address or phone number you give against our records, only to show you the appointments for existing patients. Nothing from your record is shown on the website.

Text and WhatsApp messages are sent through Twilio and emails through Postmark, which act only on our instructions.

Referrals from dentists

When your dentist refers you to us through the form on this website, they send us, with your agreement, your name, date of birth and contact details, and the clinical reason for the referral. We use them to contact you and arrange your care, and they become part of your patient record with us.

When you contact us

If you email, call or message us on WhatsApp, we use what you send to reply and to arrange your care. WhatsApp is run by Meta, under its own privacy policy.

Cookies

We use a few essential cookies that make the site work and remember your choices; they do not track you. Google Analytics, Google Ads and Google Maps are only loaded if you accept their cookies.

Cookie What it does How long
dencorp-session Keeps the site working as you move between pages. 2 hours
XSRF-TOKEN Protects the site against forged requests. 2 hours
ndc_locale Remembers your language. 1 year
ndc_clinic Remembers the clinic you chose. 1 year

_gcl_au Google Ads: links a booking to the advert that brought you here. Set by Google, and only if you accept. 3 months

If you arrive from a Google advert, the address of the page carries a click identifier. We keep it for the length of your visit and, if you book an appointment, record it with the booking so that we know which advert works. It does not identify you.

Other services we use

Our fonts are served by Bunny Fonts, which does not set cookies. The map, the visitor statistics and the advertising measurement are provided by Google and only load once you accept.

Your rights

Under UK data protection law you can ask for a copy of the personal data we hold about you, ask us to correct or delete it, object to or limit how we use it, and ask for it to be passed to you or someone else. Email [email protected] and we will reply within one month.

Complaints

If you are unhappy with how we handle your data, please tell us first so we can put it right. You can also complain to the Information Commissioner's Office (ICO) at ico.org.uk or on 0303 123 1113.
